Was a little concerned of late that my new hood, Northcote, might be a bit more gentrified than I would like. Cafes, local design shops, some high-ish end restaurants, etc. So was a bit relieved when I spied a bloke walking along the High St today, in black jeans and bare feet, swigging out of an open baked beans can. Awesome.
